I'm Rachel! Most people call me Rach. I also go by mom or mommy for the majority of the time :) I'm a married, stay-at-home mother who loves all things sourdough, fitness and spending every waking minute with my family. I was born and raised in Minnesota, which is where I still live today. My husband Michael is a full time firefighter and also an on-call firefighter for the city we live in. We have two boys - DJ (4) and Colton (1). I love homeschooling my oldest and raising our kids to love Jesus.

II'm a follower of Christ and have been attending Eagle Brook Church for 10 years now. I'm a 2x NICU mom with stories that continue to be so difficult for me to talk about. I was a special education teacher for 6 years before becoming a SAHM. I'm also a business owner! I created DJs Busy Books almost three years ago where I sell interactive children's books, engaging sensory bin kits and a variety of educational activities as digital downloads. HELLO
the ugly, beautiful chaos
I can't say I blog consistently, but when I have the time to share about my life, I love it. It's therapeutic for me. It's a place for all my inner thoughts to release onto a screen so I don't have to hold the weight of every little thing racing through my head at night. It's a place to connect with all of you so we don't feel so alone in our battles. It's a place I can be myself with no judgement. I mean, maybe you'll judge me but I won't know it because a screen has become the barrier. And you know what else I love about blogging? The freedom to express myself without any interruption, without anyone to respond to and without any feeling of insecurity. This is me. My raw, authentic, true thoughts simply typed onto a platform. It gets emotional. It gets real. And it gets to the very core of my heart.
